Important Dates and Deadlines for Fall 2026

Kindergarten Online Enrollment: Begins Thursday, March 5. Be sure to mark “YES” on the registration form that you are interested in the bilingual program and sign up for a Dual Language.

Deadline: The last day to request the Dual Language Program is Monday, April 20.

Bilingual Program Information Night: Thursday, March 26, at the Bishop Elementary School (LRC) Library. English: 5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. Spanish: 6:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. Please sign up for Information Night. No need to bring your child.

Parent Bilingual Classroom Tours: April 13, 15, or 17 - Parents may choose any of these three options. Tours begin at 8:30 a.m. and will meet in the main office. Please sign up for tours. No need to bring your child.

Bilingual Program Interviews: April 27, 28, 29, or 30 - Interviews will be held at the school. You need to sign up for an interview when you register your child in order to select a date and time. Both parents and child will attend the interview. We hold a meeting with each family that has applied to the bilingual program to ensure it's the right fit for their child. It is important to bring your child.

Lottery: When there are more applications for the program than available spaces, selection is based on a lottery. Students whose names are not selected will be placed on the waiting list.

Class Placement Notification: Lottery results will be mailed on May 8, 2026.

Noche de información del programa bilingüe: Jueves, 26 de marzo en la Biblioteca de la Escuela Primaria de Bishop (LRC). En inglés 5:30 p. m. a 6:15 p. m. En español 6:30 p. m. a 7:15 p. m. No es necesario traer al niño.

Visitas a las clases bilingües para padres: Abril 13, 15 ó 17 - Los padres pueden escoger cualquiera de estas tres opciones. Empieza a las 8:30 y nos reuniremos en la oficina principal. Inscribirse para las visitas. No es necesario traer al niño.

Entrevistas para el Programa Bilingüe: Abril 27, 28 29 ó 30 - Las entrevistas se llevarán a cabo en la escuela. Lotería: cuando hay más solicitudes para el programa que espacios, la selección se basa en un sorteo. Los estudiantes cuyos nombres no han sido seleccionados, serán colocados en la lista de espera.

Notificación de colocación de clase: Los resultados de la lotería se enviarán por correo el 8 de mayo del 2026.
