Katherine Kolker has served as the Superintendent of Bishop Unified School District (BUSD) since November 2019, bringing over two decades of experience in education to the role. Prior to her appointment as Superintendent, she dedicated five years as the Principal of Alternative Education within BUSD, overseeing programs at Palisade Glacier High School, Keith Bright School, and Bishop Independent Study. She has also served as Principal of Big Pine Schools and JKBS Community School.
Kolker's career in education began as a School Counselor in both Orange County and Inyo County, California, where she provided guidance and support to K–12 students. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Child Development and a Master's degree in School Counseling. In addition, she possesses a Pupil Personnel Services Credential and an Administrative Credential. As superintendent, Kolker continues to focus on fostering academic excellence and supporting the diverse needs of students across the district.
