BUHS Hockey Team

The Bishop Union High School Broncos Ice Hockey team captured the championship title in the LA Kings High School Hockey League on Sunday, February 22nd, defeating the Kern Valley Knights of Bakersfield with an impressive 6–3 victory.

The championship game was held at the Toyota Performance Ice Center in El Segundo, where the Broncos faced a skilled and aggressive opponent. Tied 3–3 heading into the third period, the Broncos surged ahead with three goals in the final half of the game to secure the win and claim the Daryl Evans Cup Championship.

  • Two first-period goals by Brayden Morley (assists from Benjamin Landsteiner, Soren Davis, and Konnor Johnston)

  • Second-period goal by Cuinn Green (assist from Reed Carpenter)

  • Go-ahead third-period goal by Hunter Daily (assists from Morley and Carpenter)

  • Late goal by Morley (assist from Wyatt Taylor)

  • A thrilling short-handed empty net goal by Landsteiner to seal the victory

  • Goalie Hudson Elia delivered a standout performance, defending 24 of 27 shots.
